Since Stick The Stick launched at the 2021 PCA Convention and Trade Show, a lot has changed. First and most noticeable, the booth is bigger and on an end-cap, meaning great visibility for retailers walking by.

The bright orange theme probably doesn’t hurt, either.

With displays of its newly redesigned kits sitting on all the tables, you can view the product from any of the three open sides when approaching the booth. Aaron Warburton, the founder of the company, took a few minutes to tell me what’s new as last year, when I visited, the company was in the middle of redesigning almost everything the company offered.

Stick The Stick Ultimate Kit

Last year there were many things that Warburton wasn’t happy about with the kit, so a redesign was already in the works. With the exception of the company’s flagship nubbing tool, everything is new. The new lighter has an integrated punch, the double-guillotine cutter has been completely redesigned, and the case has been redesigned to include a belt clip and ball marker for when you take the kit out on the golf course.

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
