There were a number of brands that I’ve spoken to so far who were uncertain of their attendance up until very shortly before the show.

Fable Cigars was one of those brands. But unlike some of those other companies, Fable Cigars has a new series that is being shown off.

Fable Cigars is sharing a booth with Powstanie, and I was able to catch up with co-owner Sean Kremenetski to talk about the first releases in the upcoming series.

Serpents and Scions

The Serpents and Scions series is something that Kremenski and other co-owner Mitul Shah came up with together that allows them to each have a line of cigars for themselves while being a part of the same series. The serpent part of the name belongs to Kremenski, and the scion part belongs to Shah. The first two releases coming from the line are Snake on a Plane and RDY, and were each done in collaboration with Cavalier Genève and Espinosa Cigars, respectively. While the blend is finalized, the bands are not, so the ones you see in the photo above are prototypes. Pricing is still yet to be determined as well, though the expectation is it will fall between $13 and $14 per cigar.

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
