I’ve gotten to know the folks from Casa de Sueños through Procigar. The company was started in late 2018 when a group from LG Cigar Club in San Jose decided to start their own brand. They chose De Los Reyes in the Dominican Republic and have been familiar faces at the last few Procigars.
This year was not the first time they’ve been at the trade show, but it’s the first time Casa de Sueños is here as an exhibitor. Like other companies that De Los Reyes produces cigars for, it’s in the De Los Reyes booth.
During my hour or so in the De Los Reyes booth, it seemed like Casa de Sueños had the most action in terms of interactions with retailers. Of course, I’m not sure how many of those meetings turned to orders, but it seemed like the trade show was going well for the company when I was in the booth.
Angelito
At halfwheel, we don’t write about anything that shipped prior to June 1, which is more than six weeks before the trade show starts. That means Casa de Sueños had nothing new per halfwheel standards, but we do extend that June 1 date a bit for new exhibitors so that we can introduce the newer brands to you, our audience. In May, Casa de Sueños shipped its newest release, Angelito.
