At the 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show later this month, Oscar Valladares will unveil a new limited edition that will benefit Operation: Cigars for Warriors, an organization that sends cigars to troops serving in active conflict zones.
The cigar is a Honduran puro highlighted by a corojo oscuro wrapper, with the majority of tobacco used in the blend coming from Oscar Valladares’ fields. It’s offered in a 6 x 52 toro vitola priced at $14 per cigar and $140 for a box of 10 cigars, with those boxes designed with a hinged lid designed to resemble a box of ammunition. A total of 1,000 cigars have been produced for the release.
A press release from Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. said that all profits from sales of the cigar will go to Operation: Cigars for Warriors.
“We are very happy and proud to be part of the CFW Synergy program,” said Valladares in a press release. “CFW means a lot to me because we know, value, and appreciate the impact of the work that US troops carry out around the world. For this reason, we have not taken this project lightly and have done our best to provide you with an excellent cigar and packaging that reflects the importance of CFW and our troops.”
In order to carry the CFW by Oscar Valladares, a retailer must be a registered CFW donation center.
“I am very excited to work with Oscar and his amazing team to become our eighth Synergy Program partner and produce our fourth official CFW cigar,” said Storm Boen, chairman and ceo of Operation: Cigars for Warriors, via a press release. “Since the first time we met almost a decade ago, I knew he was special and that he truly loved the US Military. He has always supported the troops even before CFW’s creation. We have wanted to do a big project together since the first time we met, and being able to do that with a showcase cigar is truly exciting and surpassed my expectations!”
The cigars will begin to ship to stores during the trade show, which runs from March 23-25.
