Camacho’s Mike Ditka brand of cigars will be launching on December 14 at Ditka’s restaurant in Chicago, with retailers in the Chicago area getting the cigars next week and nationwide distribution beginning at the end of the year. The project was announced just prior to the 2012 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show, with Ditka appearing in the Camacho section of Davidoff’s booth and speaking at Davidoff’s Golden Band Awards dinner.
The Mike Ditka cigar series is comprised of three different front marks and blends: The Player, The Coach, and The Hall of Famer.
The Player is a medium-bodied cigar that uses a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Honduran binder and filler from Honduras and the Dominican Republic. The Coach is also medium-bodied with a Honduran Criollo wrapper, Brazilian binder and filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The Hall of Famer is a full-bodied cigar that uses a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, Honduran binder and filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
Each cigar is being made in four sizes:
- Robusto (5 x 50)
- Toro (6 x 50)
- Torpedo (6 1/4 x 42/54)
- 6 x 60
Each cigar comes in ten-count boxes, with MSRPs ranging from $8 – 9.50 for The Player, $8.50 – 10.00 for The Coach and $9 – 10.50 for The Hall of Famer,
Tickets for the launch event are $195 and include dinner and your choice of one box of Mike Ditka cigars, which will be signed by Ditka at the event. Neumann’s Cigars & More is hosting the cigar portion of the dinner.
