The Vertigo brand is getting a new triple-flame torch, as its parent company, The Lotus Group, has announced the Boxer.

The Boxer offers three wind-resistant torch flames that have been set at an angle to improve comfort and ease of use when lighting a cigar. Rosemary Sharp, president of The Lotus Group, called it a workhorse lighter along the lines of the company’s popular Cyclone, both of which are designed to offer an attractive price to value ratio.

It is available in two colors, charcoal and clear, both of which are translucent so the amount of butane in the tank is visible. The base of the lighter serves as a large flame adjustment wheel so the user can dial in as much or as little firepower as they prefer.

The Boxer aims to be friendly to both the wallet and pocket, as it is priced at $11.99 and measures 3.4 x 1.3 x .86 inches.

The Boxer is being shown off at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which runs from July 8-11 in Las Vegas. The lighters are in stock and ready to ship to retailers.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
