Starting later this month, there will be a new addition to the list of products bought to Tatuaje events.

Yesterday, Pete Johnson of Tatuaje showed off a new sampler containing five cigars packaged inside a Tatuaje melamine ashtray. Inside each pack is a Tatuaje Havana VI, Tatuaje Private Reserve (Black Label), Cabaiguan, La Riqueza and Tattoo—all in a 5 1/2 x 52 robusto larga size.

This sampler will be available for sale at events. Johnson told halfwheel the suggested retail price is $45. He also indicated there’s a possibility the sampler could become available for sale on a wider level at some point in the future and that selling it at events serves as a sort of test.

For those wondering about what this means for the Tatuaje Private Reserve (Black Label) Robusto three-packs that are given away at events—nothing. Those will still be used as promotional items.

Johnson also indicated that La Petite Elise, a project he mentioned in 2013, is still in the works.

The Tatuaje Event Sampler will debut at Serious Cigar’s Texas Cigar Festival on April 25.

Update: The original version of this story indicated that the first cigar in the sampler was a Verocu, it in fact is a Havana VI.

Update (April 20, 2015): Story updated to include ship date and finalized pricing. The story was originally published on March 12.
