After a more than decade-long hiatus, the Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve is coming back.
At this week’s 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Miami Cigar & Co. will show off the Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve 2024 to retailers. Like the first two Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve cigars, released in 2011 and 2012, the new version is a belicoso made by My Father Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua, though there are some changes. This cigar is a round 6 1/8 x 52 belicoso that is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos. The 2011 version was a Nicaraguan puro that measured 6 1/4 inches while the 2012 version measured 6 1/8 inches and used a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper; both the 2011 and 2012 versions were box-pressed. Miami Cigar & Co. says this is a new blend for 2024.
The MSRP is set at $18 per cigar and production is limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars. It is not expected to begin shipping until August.
Miami Cigar & Co. says that the cigar is coming back as part of the company’s 35th anniversary.
“The Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve 2024 was a special one for us. 35-year anniversary is a big one,” said Nestor Miranda, co-founder and president of Miami Cigar & Co., in a press release. “My wife and co-founder of Miami Cigar, Mariana Miranda, and I are still in awe by how far we have come. I really wanted to create a blend that was worthy of such an anniversary. I thank the team at the My Father Cigar Factory, for being patient with me throughout this process, as I wanted this blend to reach the highest possible standard.”
The 2024 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place March 23-25 in Las Vegas.
