On Feb. 14, 2023—yes, Valentine’s Day—Nestor Miranda celebrated his 80th birthday. Now, the cigar that honors that milestone is shipping to stores.

The NM80 is a new line made for Miami Cigar & Co. by My Father Cigars S.A., the factory that has made previous Nestor Miranda cigars. This particular blend is described as medium-bodied and made entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos. It is offered in three sizes, each of which is limited to 500 boxes per vitola:

  • NM80 Ruky (5 5/8 x 48/52) — $18 (Box of 10, $180)
  • NM80 Lancero (7 1/2 x 38) — $19 (Box of 10, $190)
  • NM80 Danno (7 x 56) — $20 (Box of 10, $200)

“I really wanted to create a cigar that Nestor could be proud of,” said Jason Wood, vice-president of Miami Cigar & Co., in a press release. “The entire project was tailor-made for Nestor, vitolas, blend, and packaging all have that Miranda elegance that makes him the man that we all love.”

Nestor and Miranda, his wife, founded Miami Cigar & Co. in 1989. The company is best known for its popular Tatiana brand of flavored cigars, though it sells premium cigars like the Nestor Miranda Special Selection and Don Lino.

Update (Jan. 29, 2024) — Miami Cigar & Co. has announced a launch party and dinner to be held on Feb. 8, 2024 at City Cigar Lounge in Miami, Fla. More information can be found here.
