In September 2023, Lure Cigars launched at select retailers. Now, the company is expanding its distribution and has added two new sizes.

Lure’s debut line is now offered in five vitolas. Blend-wise, it uses Nicaraguan tobacco with a corojo oscuro wrapper over a binder from Estelí and fillers from Estelí, Jalapa and Ometepe. Production is handled by Tabacalera Pages de Nicaragua S.A.

When the line debuted last September, there was just a trio of vitolas:

  • Lure The Lil’ Tony (5 x 50) — $11 (Bundle of 10, $110)
  • Lure The Big Lou (6 x 52) — $12 (Bundle of 10, $120)
  • Lure The BLT (Big Lou Torpedo) (6 x 54) — $13 (Bundle of 10, $130)

As of last week, the company began shipping two new sizes:

  • Lure The Sir Gar (7 x 48) — $14 (Bundle of 10, $140)
  • Lure The Lunker (6 x 60) — $14 (Bundle of 10, $140)

Lure Cigars was created by Lou Cross III to honor his late father, Lou Cross Jr., who passed away at the age of 90 in June 2023. Lou Jr. was known for his love of fishing and cigars, which explains the fishing-themed name and packaging.

Distribution is handled by Valacari Cigars.
