Edgar Hoill Cigars will be releasing a 7 x 38 lancero in the EH blend at the 2014 DC Cigar Tweetup. Edgar Hoill told halfwheel production details have not been finalized, but there will be between 250-300 boxes of either 20 or 25 released. Participants of the DC Cigar Tweetup will also receive a sample as part of their attendance package. Pricing is still undetermined.

The lancero, a first for the EH blend will have a shaggy foot and might include a pigtail as well according to Hoill.

The DC Cigar Tweetup, which takes place on March 14-15, has been the vehicle for cigar launches before. Last year, the CroMagnon Formorian and the Ortega Serie D Maduro Lancero debuted.

Along with the EH lancero, the event this year will see the return of the CroMagnon Formorian, as well as the Miami Cigar Co. KILO, a new blend from Dante named Vita Nova and a robusto vitola in the Asylum 13 Ogre line.

Edgar Hoill Cigars is part of Fabricas Unidas. Earlier this week, Asylum Cigars announced a lancero would be added to the Asylum 13 line.

I have worn many hats in my life up to this point: I started out as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, then transitioned to photographing weddings—both internationally and in the U.S.—for more than a decade. After realizing that there was a need for a cigar website containing better photographs and more in-depth information about each release, I founded my first cigar blog, SmokingStogie, in 2008. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars, and it was one of the predecessors to halfwheel, which I co-founded.
