League of Fat Bastards has announced that Rob Maneson has joined the company as its new president for the United States and the Americas.

Maneson brings years of experience in the premium cigar industry to the role, having worked with Imperial Brands plc as the ceo of JR Cigar from 2017-2019, and the general manager of Casa de Montecristo from 2016-17. Prior to that he was the retail strategy and marketing director for JR Cigar and the head of trade marketing and key account sales for Altadis USA. Since departing Imperial Brands, Maneson has worked as the heads of sales for AIR, a shisha manufacturer, and Lucy, a nicotine delivery products company.

“Rob will bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skill sets to help us rapidly grow our brand into a global leader in the cigar sector and industry verticals focused on supporting men’s mental health,” said Adam Levine, founder and chairman of League of Fat Bastards, via a press release.

Maneson replaces Nha Kim, who spent six months with the company and will be moving into a board advisory role while also focusing her efforts on her leadership role in the artificial intelligence and technology space.

“Nha gave us wings to fly, she was instrumental to helping us gain traction and immediate respect in the sector given her own amazing personal reputation and immense respect she is held in by the cigar sector,” said Levine. “Everybody loves Nha—especially me— and with her wonderful smile, her caring personality and strong moral compass Nha will forever be with us as part of our LOFB family.”

Additionally, Levine announced that Sandra Sketnevsky has been appointed president of brand activation of socials, a position in which she will manage on-premise events at key retail and restaurants, clubs, and bar locations, which Levine said is a key revenue driver and brand awareness strategy for the company.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
