The 2019 version of Crowned Heads’ Las Calaveras release is heading to stores today.

For the first time since its debut release in 2014, the four-size line uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper. It sits over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.

  • Las Calaveras EL 2019 LC46 (6 x 46) — $10.50 (Boxes of 24, $252)
  • Las Calaveras EL 2019 LC50 (5 x 50) — $11.75 (Boxes of 24, $282)
  • Las Calaveras EL 2019 LC54 (5 1/2 x 54) — $12.95 (Boxes of 24, $310.80)
  • Las Calaveras EL 2019 Torpedo (6 1/8 x 52) — n/a

Each of the three LC vitolas is limited to 1,700 boxes of 24 cigars. The belicoso is only offered in a four-cigar sampler, which is limited to 2,500 samplers and priced at $49.95.

The Las Calaveras release is made in honor of those close to Crowned Heads who have passed away, but this year one person gets special recognition: Cano Ozgener, the late founder of CAO International, passed away last June. His initials are featured on the band of the cigar. Both Crowned Heads co-founders—Jon Huber and Mike Conder—previously worked for Ozgener at CAO.
