News of a new size to My Father Cigar’s La Dueña line surfaced on Friday, a Toro Gordo Box Pressed vitola called No. 13.
Grace Sotolongo of My Father Cigars sent out a picture of the new cigar via her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts:
According to a representative from My Father Cigars, the La Dueña No. 13 is a 6 x 56 box-pressed vitola and will come packed in 12-count boxes as opposed to the 21-count boxes that the rest of the line uses. MSRP for the La Dueña No. 13 is $9.00 per cigar, and according to Sotolongo’s post, the cigars began to ship on Friday.
With the addition of the No. 13, the La Dueña line now stands at six vitolas:
- No. 2 – Belicoso – 5 1/2 x 54
- No. 9 – Petit Belicoso – 4 3/4 x 48
- No. 97- Petit Lancero – 6 x 42
- No. 5 – Robusto – 5 x 50
- No. 11 – Petit Robusto – 4 1/2 x 52
- No. 13 – Box-pressed Toro Gordo – 6 x 56
The La Dueña debuted at the 2012 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show and uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over binder and filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragaua, with blending done by Pete Johnson of Tatuaje.
In November, the company announced the addition of a box-pressed 6 x 60 Toro Gordo called the #6 to the My Father line, as well as a 6 x 62 Toro Grande to the Don Pepin Garcia Original line.
My Father Cigars also announced the return of the highly sought-after Centurion line as part of their 10th anniversary celebration.
