The next cigar in the K by Karen Berger series will be made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez de Nicaragua S.A.

It’s called the K by Karen Berger 25th Anniversary by AJ Fernandez and it will come in a single 6 x 52 toro size that will use what the company is describing as a Connecticut habano broadleaf wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from Nicaragua. It will be limited to 1,500 boxes of 20 cigars. The MSRP is set at $16 per cigar.

As for the name, it references the more than 25 years that Karen Berger and her late husband, Henry “Kiki” Berger, have worked in the cigar business. Berger was one of the first Americans to come to Estelí and established a cigar-making operation, Tabacalera Estelí, as well as a farm.

The 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show takes place July 9-12 in Las Vegas. Karen Berger, the company, says the cigars will ship to stores on July 13.
