If you thought 6 x 60 was too much and 7 x 70 was too big, you might just go crazy with the newest release from JFR, an 8 x 80.

Properly titled JFR Lunatic Mambo, it’s the latest from one of the pioneers of the big ring gauge craze, Casa Fernández’s JFR brand. It will go on sale in December priced at $8.80 per cigar or $140.80 per box of 16. Lunatic is actually a separate line within the JFR brand joining the original JFR and the JFR XT the company introduced earlier this year.

To start, the line will only be offered in the 8 x 80 belicoso size, which should make it easier to smoke, and with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. It is made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua.

It’s been over three years since Casa Fernández announced the JFR 770LE.
