Rocky Patel Premium Cigars has announced that the Java Wafe is once again being sold to the company’s retailers.
The Wafe is a 5 x 46 box-pressed vitola that was originally offered in the Latte and Maduro versions of the line. It’s now offered in those two, as well as the Java Mint.
“The Wafe had always been a special size that we wanted to someday have in our portfolio again,” said Rocky Patel, the company’s founder, in a press release. “With the new rules coming through FDA, the time to bring it back was essentially made for us. Call it a silver lining.”
Production issues forced the company to replace the Wafe with a 4 1/2 x 38 Petite Corona that didn’t feature the extreme box-pressing.
All three versions of the Wafe are priced at $7.50 per cigar and offered in boxes of 40.
Java is produced at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua.
