Ted’s Cigars had the same booth as last year: a nice open space with a tower right in the middle that made it easy to spot.

The company makes a number of different cigars, both infused and non-infused, but it is probably most recognizable for its Maker’s Mark infused cigar, which is now actually called The Original Bourbon Cigar, though a secondary band does still note Seasoned with Maker’s Mark.

The Presidential Cigar
One of only two cigars I’m aware of that are out commemorating the 45th President, the band has Trump’s name and 45 on the main band, with his campaign logo on the secondary. The cigar uses the same blend as their Connecticut cigar that’s only sold in boxes.

  • Wrapper: Connecticut Shade

  • Filler: Brazil, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic

  • The Presidential Cigar (6 x 50) — $10-12

Launch Date: July 2017

It’s a Boy and It’s a Girl
The same Connecticut blend was also packaged in tubes with “It’s a Boy!” and “It’s a Girl!” for the celebration of a birth. Their idea was that other birth-celebration cigars only came in boxes, so they wanted something easy to grab one or two of.

  • Wrapper: Connecticut Shade

  • Filler: Brazil, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic

  • It’s a Boy/Girl! (6 x 50) — $7-9

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
