For those that like to experiment with making their own cigars or rewrapping cigars to create a different flavor profile, Guy & Lady Barrel Cigars has released an alcohol infused wrapper leaf for just that purpose.

The leaf is a Kentucky fire cured fronto wrapper, though it can be used as a binder or filler if you like to make your own cigars. It is available with either a bourbon or rum infusion.

Each leaf measures approximately 28 inches long by 12 inches wide, and the company says each leaf can yield between 15 and 18 wrappers. If you’re not making that any cigars at a sitting, you can store the leaf in the provided pouch to keep it moist and ready for future use.

Each leaf sells for $10 and is available through the company’s website. While the company has not announced additional varieties of infusions, a press release did refer to this as the company’s first release, suggesting more releases could be on the way.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
