Tomorrow night, GTO Cigars will introduce its newest line, La Cura.

Spanish for the cure, the GTO La Cura will debut at Cigars & More in Birmingham, Ala. Dr. Oscar Rodriguez, GTO’s founder, told halfwheel  that the new blend is a Dominican puro that uses proprietary tobacco that has been aged for 10 years.

It will be offered in two sizes.

  • GTO La Cura Robusto (5 x 52) — $7.50 (Box of 24, $180)
  • GTO La Cura Pig Tail Gran Perfecto (5 x 60) — $9.50 (Box of 24, $228)

Both cigars are limited to 1,000 boxes and will begin shipping to other retailers on Friday.

The artwork is a take on Caduceus, the staff of Hermes, which is used in the U.S. to represent medicine. Rodriguez modified it so the wings portray tobacco leaves.
