Gran Habano’s Persian Queen LEs Returning in October
Next month, Gran Habano will be bringing its Persian Queen Limited Editions back to store shelves for a second limited run.
The cigars debuted in November 2020 as an offshoot to the Gran Habano Persian King, a value-oriented, unbanded cigar that is recognizable for its covered and closed foot that is made from a lighter shade of tobacco than that of the wrapper. The Persian Queen keeps that design touch on the foot, though the cigars are barber poles that use an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut seed leaf for the lighter portion and a Nicaraguan-grown corojo seed leaf for the darker portion. Underneath the wrappers are a Nicaraguan binder and filler.
The line returns in the same two sizes that were released in 2020:
- Gran Habano Persian Queen Kiana Barber Pole (6 x 50) — $6.80 (Box of 50, $340)
- Gran Habano Persian Queen Gryphon Barber Pole (6 x 60) — $7.60 (Box of 50, $380)
Production numbers have not yet been announced, but it will be limited. The first release was limited to 500 boxes of each size, and once again that cigar is produced at the company’s G.R. Tabacalera Unidas S.A. factory in Honduras.
The company is taking orders from retailers for the cigars now, with shipping scheduled to begin in October.
