Fox Knives, an Italian knife manufacturer that has released a variety of unique cigar cutter designs during the last five years, has announced its latest cigar-focused product: Virtus.

Unlike the other cigar-focused products, which are purpose-built cigar cutters, the new Fox Knives FX-541 Virtus is a knife that has a special half-moon cut-out to cut cigars. Like other cigar knives, the premise is pretty simple: place the cap inside the cut-out and fold the knife close, which has the blade act like a single guillotine cigar cutter.

It’s offered in four different models, which use different materials:

  • Fox Knives Virtus FX-541 ST — $171.35
    • 64mm blade (3mm thickness)/165mm in length
    • Santos Wood Handle
    • Becut Blade (HRC 56-58)
    • Acciaio inox AISI 303 spacer

  • Fox Knives Virtus FX-541 CF — $249.80
    • 64mm blade (3mm thickness)/165mm in length
    • 3k Carbon Fiber Handle
    • Becut Blade Black PVD Coated (HRC 56-58)
    • Bronze anodized titanium spacer

  • Fox Knives Virtus FX-541 TI — $283.85
    • 60mm blade (3mm thickness)/160mm in length
    • Bead Blasted Titanium Handle
    • Becut Blade (HRC 56-58)
    • Blue titanium anodized spacer

  • Fox Knives Virtus FX-541 DMG — $413
    • 64mm blade (3mm thickness)/165mm in length
    • Dark Matter Carbon Fiber Handle
    • Damasteel® Dense Twist Blade (HRC 59-61)
    • Bronze anodized titanium inox AISI 303 spacer

Notably, the titanium handle model is slightly shorter than the other three.

Each model is made in Italy and comes with a leather case. The knives are already on sale via Fox’s website and the company has teased them for the upcoming InterTabac 2024 trade fair, which takes place Sept. 19-21 in Dortmund, Germany.
