The Foundation Cigar Co. headquarters are in a tobacco field in Connecticut and as such, the company’s latest release pays tribute to a particular seed from the Connecticut River Valley.

According to Cigar Aficionado, the company’s latest release is The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142, a four-size line that uses the aforementioned wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. The binder and filler are the same as the regular The Tabernacle, only with less Honduran filler.

It will be offered in four sizes.

  • The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Robusto (5 x 50)
  • The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Corona (5 1/4 x 45)
  • The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Toro (6 x 52)
  • The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142 Double Corona (7 x 54)

The cigars will be priced from $9-13 per cigar.

Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A., the same factory that makes the regular version of The Tabernacle, is producing the Havana Seed CT No.142.

A text message sent to Nicholas Melillo, Foundation’s owner and founder, was not returned.
