Federal Cigar in New Hampshire has announced that they are adding a new vitola of the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Connecticut Edition to their collection of exclusive cigars, a 5 5/8 x 55 Grand Robusto.

The store made the announcement via an email to their customer mailing list that went out late Thursday evening and included this photo of the cigar:

According to the email, the store has received a sample bundle and expects the first shipment to arrive in late May. Pricing has not been announced at this time, nor has box count, though the rest of the My Father Le Bijou 1922 line has come packed in 23-count boxes.

In March, the store celebrated its 92nd anniversary and announced the My Father Cigars Federal Cigar Special F, which is based on the event-only My Father S Special. They also added the E.P. Carrillo Federal Cigar 92nd Anniversary Medalla D’Oro and the Tatuaje Federal 90th Redux.

This will be the fourth size in the My Father Le Bijou line to be exclusive to Federal Cigar, as they also have the 6 1/2 x 44 Cervantes, the 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda and a 4 1/2 x 50 Petit Robusto. There was also a My Father Le Bijou 1922 Connecticut and maduro released in 2012 to celebrate the store’s 91st anniversary.

Update (June 24, 2013): The original post was titled “Grand Corona” instead of “Grand Robusto.” In addition, as of June 19, these are in stock at Federal Cigar.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
