The 2023 release of the Emilio audiophile is heading to stores.

Oveja Negra Brands, which distributes Emilio, is beginning to ship the audiophile to stores today. It uses the same blend as last year’s debut release of the audiophile: an Ecuadorian maduro wrapper over an Ecuadorian habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua.

Last year, there was just a single 5 x 52 robusto size available. That vitola is back for 2023, but two other sizes now join it.

  •  Emilio audiophile Robusto (2023) (5 x 52) — $10.50 (Box of 20, $210)
  •  Emilio audiophile Toro (2023) (6 x 50) — $11 (Box of 20, $220)
  •  Emilio audiophile Short Robusto (2023) (4 1/4 x 48) — $10.25 (Box of 20, $205)

All three vitolas are limited to 200 boxes.

The Zucca family owns Emilio, though the James Brown of Black Label Trading Co./Fábrica Oveja Negra is responsible for the blending and branding.

“Following its tremendous success in 2022, AUDIOPHILE returns with boldness, earthiness, and an enticing spice-forward profile,” said Brown in a press release when the release was announced in June. “It represents a noteworthy step up in strength from the existing portfolio. I am genuinely thrilled about this release, particularly with the addition of two new vitolas this year.”
