At the 2024 Procigar Festival in the Dominican Republic, Davidoff previewed the new Davidoff Maduro and the Davidoff Monolith Humidor. As of today’s release, the Davidoff Maduro is now on shelves. On April 18, the Davidoff Monolith Humidor will go on sale.

The Monolith Humidor is unique because it is made out of a single piece of moca cream limestone. That limestone is carved using diamond-tipped tools down to tenths of a millimeter. A single piece of mahogany is used for the frame of the lid.

Because of the weight of the lid, two dampeners are placed on the side of the humidor to ensure the lid doesn’t damage itself when someone goes to close the humidor.

Each humidor is designed to hold up to 120 toro-size cigars. The humidor comes with two Davidoff de Luxe Regulators, the company’s humidifiers. There’s also a dedicated place for users to store cigar scissors.

In the U.S., the humidor will have an MSRP of $7,500. It is expected to begin shipping to stores on April 18. Unlike some of Davidoff’s most expensive humidors, which are oftentimes only sold at Davidoff’s flagship stores, this humidor will be offered to independent retailers.

“I am very proud of what we have already achieved in the premium humidor segment until this day. The pure and calm Monolith is a powerful expression of Davidoff’s imagination, inspiration and innovation in accessories design”, said Edward Simon, chief marketing officer of Oettinger Davidoff, in a press release. “Taking a single block of limestone and turning it into a perfectly functioning and stylish humidor was a challenge for the whole team. After years of dedication, I am thrilled to present our aficionados with this truly remarkable piece: a collaboration between Davidoff and the hands of nature that redefines the possibilities of craftsmanship – thinking beyond the practical and embracing the beauty.”
