Dalay Zigarren’s latest limited release will be available this week, but only stores in Germany will be receiving it.

The Dalay Limitada 2023 is a 6 1/8 x 57 gran belicoso utilizing 100 percent Dominican tobacco, including a corojo wrapper, a Piloto binder and a combination of five different fillers, namely 20/20, criollo 98, H92, Flor de Carbonell and Criollo 98 de Sur tobaccos. According to the company, the total age of all seven tobaccos combined is 50 years, with the oldest tobacco coming from the 2008 harvest.

The release is limited to 7,000 cigars, dividied up into 350 boxes of 20 cigars, with pricing is set at €24 ($25.94) per cigar. The Dalay Limitada 2023 cigars were rolled at the Tabacalera Altagrácia factory in the Dominican Republic, which also produced the first release in the line, the Dalay Limitada Capa Rosado 2014.

According to Dalay Zigarren, boxes of the Dalay Limitada 2023 are scheduled to be shipped to retailers in Germany on Friday, Feb. 23.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
