For the first time in “years” SAG Imports is updating its value-priced Cubita brand. At this year’s IPCPR trade show and convention, the Quesadas will introduce Cubita Nouveau, a fuller addition for the brand. Manuel “Manolo” Quesada indicated it’s been a while since the company has updated the brand, largely because it has been focusing on other lines for different segments of the market.

“We’ve been making the Cubita brand since the cigar boom but over the past few years we’ve focused on promoting our other lines of Cigars,” said Quesada. “The Cubita Nouveau is medium in body and priced to ensure that you can afford to smoke them every day.”

The company will make four size of the Dominican puro: Robusto (5 x 54), Toro (6 x 50), Churchill (7 x 52) and Gordo (6 x 60). All will be sold in boxes of 20 with pricing ranging from $4.70 and $5.75.

Terence Reilly of SAG Imports, the distribution arm of the Quesada’s operations, told halfwheel it was the final addition to the company’s IPCPR portfolio. The company will show off 2013 versions of its annual Oktoberfest and Tres Reynas releases. In addition, Regius, which SAG Imports to distributes in the U.S., will be releasing two limited editions at the mid-July trade show.
