CigarKings’ barber pole cigar is now heading to stores.

The CigarKing Dos Colores is a 6 x 43 corona gorda that uses a barber pole design, meaning it has two different contrast wrappers on a single cigar. In this case, both wrappers are from Los Ríos, Ecuador; one is a Connecticut-seed shade varietal and the other is a Sumatra-seed Colorado varietal. Internally, the cigar features different tobaccos from Nicaragua: two corojo binders from Jalapa, while the fillers include corojo seco from Jalapa and habano 2000 viso from Estelí.

A barber pole cigar has two wrappers, typically of different colors, that are rolled together at a slight angle to produce an alternating design that looks like the stripes of a barber’s pole.

Pricing is set at €10 ($10.96) per cigar; production is limited to 300 boxes of 12 cigars.

“The idea behind the Dos Colores was to provide our customers with a one-of-a-kind smoking experience that impresses both in taste and visually,” said Philipp Kugler, ceo of CigarKings, in a press release when the cigar was announced in September. “The combination of these two unique wrappers gives this cigar complexity and depth that make each draw a true delight.”

CigarKings makes its cigars at an undisclosed factory in Nicaragua.
