Chateau Diadem, a relatively new cigar brand from the Dominican Republic, has announced that for the first time, its cigars will be available in the U.S.
The company has signed an agreement with City of Palms Distribution Services, a Fort Meyers, Fla.-based distribution and logistic company. Chateau Diadem says that City of Palms will sell its cigars to wholesale accounts as well as handle the backend logistics.
Chateau Diadem was founded by Emily Sahakian and Thierry Farah in 2022. It is entering the U.S. market after establishing distribution in more than 20 other markets around the world. The Conviction Series, the company’s debut line, is offered in seven vitolas and uses an Ecuadorian habano 2000 wrapper over a Dominican olor binder and Dominican criollo 98, Dominican piloto and criollo from Estelí, Nicaragua. Chateau Diadema operates its own factory in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.
“The US market represents a significant milestone for us,” said Farah in a press release. “After over a year of discussions and preparations, we are ready to introduce our brand to one of the most dynamic and sophisticated cigar markets in the world. We believe that our collaboration with City of Palms will not only enhance our distribution capabilities but also solidify our brand’s presence in the US.”
City of Palms Distribution Services is led by Kevin and Anne Dinkins. The company aims to provide backend logistic services to smaller companies, this includes importing, bonded warehousing, inventory control, invoicing, shipping, payment processing, commission processing and monthly reporting.
