Cavalier Genève Launching Tres Delincuentes at TPE 2023

At next month’s TPE 2023 trade show, Cavalier Genève will show of a trio of new blends as part of a new brand called Tres Delincuentes.

According to a report from Cigar Aficionado, the Swiss brand will launch Tres Delincuentes, a total of nine cigars. Each of the three blends is offered in the same three sizes and uses the same internal components: an Ecuadorian habano binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua. What varies are the wrappers and packaging; there’s an Ecuadorian Connecticut, a Honduran habano and Mexican San Andrés versions.

Each blend is tied in one way to one of the company’s principals, which is shown off on the inside of the box lid. The Connecticut will feature a picture of Brian Motola, the company’s sales director, while the Habano will feature Eylin Decoppet’s face and the Maduro has Sébastien Decoppet’s face on it.

All three blends are offered in the same three sizes at the same prices:

• Tres Delincuentes by Cavalier Genève Robusto (5 x 50) — $6.95 (Box of 24, $166.80)
• Tres Delincuentes by Cavalier Genève Toro (6 x 54) — $7.60 (Box of 24, $182.40)
• Tres Delincuentes by Cavalier Genève Gordo (6 x 60) — $7.90 (Box of 24, $189.60)

“Tres Delincuentes” is a 1996 song by Delinquent Habits, a California hip-hop group.

“Some time ago, Brian, Eylin, and I were in the car on our way back to our factory after a morning in the tobacco fields of Jamastran in Honduras, discussing the future,” said Sébastien Decoppet in a press release. “At that moment, a song was playing on the car radio from which two words jumped to all our ears. ‘Tres Delincuentes.’ The three of us immediately looked at each other and had that feeling of ‘this is it.’ After a good laugh, we got back to the factory and immediately started plotting Tres Delincuentes together. It had to be a take on us three as individuals, representing what Cavalier can be, influenced by art and music.”

TPE 2023 takes place Feb. 22-24 in Las Vegas. Cavalier Genève says it expects to begin shipping the cigars following TPE 2023.
