Numerous companies have been celebrating the Lunar New Year with limited-edition cigars. La Galera joined the Year of the Dragon festivities this year with a cigar that features aged tobacco from Tabacalera Palma’s farms.

The third incarnation in the Hit & Run brand is made with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper covering an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and filler tobaccos grown in Nicaragua—including corojo 98 and an undisclosed varietal—and in Pennsylvania. Like the original blend that was released in 2017, the newest version of the brand is being produced by the Ventura family in the Dominican Republic.

Expressions Limited Edition 2024 is a collaboration between Davidoff’s AVO brand and D-Nice, the hip-hop artist and DJ.

In 2022, Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr. celebrated his 75th birthday, a celebration that included the release of a new limited-edition cigar. After receiving just over 18 months of rest, and approaching the two-year-mark since its release, it’s time to revisit the double corona that celebrated the noted cigarmaker’s birthday.

Named after a character in Greek mythology, the regular production blend incorporates both Pennsylvania broadleaf and Tennessee fire-cured tobacco. The line debuted during the 2024 Total Product Expo earlier this year.
