Centenario, a new line that Altadis U.S.A. describes as “a modern expression” of its Casa de García brand, is set to begin arriving in stores this month.

The Casa de García Centenario is being released in two blends, both of which are built around Nicaraguan tobaccos for the binder and filler. The Casa de García Centenario Red Label is the stronger of the two blends, using an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, while the Casa de García Centenario White Label is milder and uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper.

Both lines are being released in four sizes, each coming in bundles of 25 cigars:

  • Casa de García Centenario Robusto (5 x 50) — $2.77 (Bundle of 25, $69.25)
  • Casa de García Centenario Toro (6 x 50) — $2.88 (Bundle of 25, $72)
  • Casa de García Centenario Belicoso (6 1/4 x 52) — $2.99 (Bundle of 25, $74.75)
  • Casa de García Centenario Magnum (6 x 60) — $3.20 (Bundle of 25, $80)

The company said that the cigars are made in Nicaragua in collaboration with the Plasencia family, though did not confirm which specific factory is producing them.

Altadis U.S.A. said that the Casa de García Centenario line will be available as of Nov. 15.

Update (Nov. 16, 2022) — Altadis U.S.A. provided images and pricing, which have been added to the story.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
