Last year, Caldwell Cigar Co. released Blind Man’s Bluff Deluxe, a limited edition version of Blind Man’s Bluff that was sold in 100-count cabinets. When that particular cigar was announced, Robert Caldwell, the company’s founder, told halfwheel that the 2022 release would be the first of three for the series.

Now, the other two are getting close to shipping to stores.

Both the second and third cigars in the series are made by Manufactura Rivas, a Dominican factory owned by Francisco “Chico” Rivas. Interestingly, the two cigars not only use the same blend on paper, it’s the same basic blend description and same size (a 6 x 54 toro) as the first release, which was made by Henderson Ventura. Caldwell told halfwheel that while all three cigars use an Ecuadorian habano over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers, the tobaccos aren’t from the same sources and weren’t processed the same, meaning they taste differently.

The final two cigars—Blind Mans Bluff Toro Deluxe – Chico White Edition and Blind Mans Bluff Toro Deluxe – Gold White Edition—also have the same price as the original Blind Man’s Bluff Deluxe: $10.40 per cigar.

Each cigar is offered in 100-count boxes and there are 165 boxes per blend. Caldwell says they should begin shipping in late July after being shown off for retailers at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 8-11 in Las Vegas.
