Three years after it was announced, BURN by Rocky Patel Indianapolis is finally open.

The newest BURN is at 110 S. Meridian St., located in a downtown district that also includes the homes of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. It’s a single floor 7,500-square-foot location with two mezzanine VIP areas, an increase  from the 5,500 number that was originally described three years ago.

Many parts of the aesthetic keep with the rest of the BURN theme, but there are reminders that this is Indianapolis. Steering wheels from race cars decorate a wall, a bathroom has a large mural of a race car and Patel said an actual car will be in the lounge during the month of May, coinciding with the Indianapolis 500.

As with other Patel’s other BURN locations, the idea is to combine a cigar lounge with an upscale night club. The new store features a full bar, a walk-in humidor that will sell Rocky Patel cigars and other products, lockers for members and seating for 180 people.

Indianapolis is the fifth home to the BURN concept joining locations in Naples, Fla., Atlanta, Oklahoma City and Pittsburgh.
