Despite a belief that an easing of the country’s smoking ban—which includes bars and restaurants—was imminent, Bulgaria will now see stricter enforcement. The law prohibits smoking at workplaces, restaurants, bars, public transportation facilities, hotels, open air performance venues, sports facilities and others.
