BLK WKS Boondock Saint 2018 En Route to Retailers
The second release of the BLK WKS Boondock Saint from Black Works Studio will be heading to retailers this week.
The cigar, which debuted in 2017, uses a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. It is made at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua.
“This blend highlights the many complexities in the broadleaf and Nicaraguan tobaccos used,” said James Brown, creator of BLK WKS and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, via a press release. He went on to call it “a perfect example of a balanced cigar,” adding that the cigar is both strong and refined with flavors of anise, clove, dark fruits, bitter cocoa and earth.
It is once again being released in two sizes:
- BLK WKS Boondock Saint Corona Larga (6 1/4 x 46) — $10.50 (Boxes of 20, $210)
- BLK WKS Boondock Saint Robusto (5 1/4 x 50) — $10.50 (Boxes of 20, $210)
Both cigars are now priced slightly higher than the 2017 version, which cost $10 per cigar. As with the debut release, the company has produced 500 boxes of each size.
BLK WKS is part of Black Label Trading Co., a project that creates cigars that are an expression of art showcasing the talent, technique and tobacco of Fabrica Oveja Negra. BLK WKS is distributed by Boutiques Unified.
