Over the weekend, D-Nice, a noted hip-hop DJ, announced that he was working with the AVO brand for a new cigar in 2024.

That cigar will be called Expressions 2024. While Davidoff of Geneva USA has confirmed the project, virtually none of the details have been released. D-Nice’s post indicates the release will happen in Q2 2024 and a press release says it will be limited to 2,500 boxes of 15 cigars.

Born Derrick T. Jones, D-Nice gained fame in the 1980s as part of Boogie Down Productions, the hip-hop trio that consisted of D-Nice, KRS-One and Scott La Rock. In recent times, he gained notoriety for Homeschool at Club Quarantine, DJ sessions he hosted on Instagram Live during the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown. In addition to his work as a DJ, D-Nice has also become a noted photographer.

The AVO brand has had a strong association with music since it was founded by the late Avo Uvezian, a noted pianist and composer. Over the years, Davidoff has used music as a theme for various AVO releases.
