Yesterday, Christian Eiroa showed off a picture of the Asylum 13 Ogre blend in a 7 x 38 format.

It’s a far departure for a line best known for its massive 6 x 80 and 7 x 70 sizes, but the new Asylum 13 Ogre Lancero will come to market. Eiroa told halfwheel that the cigar is planned for the IPCPR Trade Show & Convention, which takes place next month in New Orleans, La.

The cigar will retail for $8 and is offered in boxes of 30.

The Ogre was introduced in 2012 using a Candela wrapper along with an undisclosed habano maduro wrapper to create a barberpole look. The cigar is made in Nicaragua at an undisclosed factory.

CLE Cigar Co. distributes the Asylum brand.

Update (July 6, 2015) — Added pricing and box counts. The original story was published on June 24, 2015.

Davidoff is the official sponsor of halfwheel's coverage of the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
