All Saints Cigars is rereleasing one of its first creations to honor All Saints Day.

In 2019, All Saints released the original Solamente, which translates to only from Spanish, a 5 x 58 toro that used an Ecuadorian habano wrapper covering a binder grown in Nicaragua and a combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler. This November, the cigar will return with the same blend for a limited edition release in honor of All Saints Day, a Christian holiday that honors all the saints of the church.

What is changing is how the cigars are sold. The 2023 version will have an MSRP of $20 per cigar—up from $11.95 for the original release—and will come in boxes of 23 cigars. Like the original, the 2023 version of Solamante is being rolled at Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua.

In an email, Micky Pegg, co-founder of All Saints, told halfwheel that this will be the first in an annual release of the Solamente. The box-counts of each year’s release will correspond with the year, which is why this year’s release is in 23-count boxes and next year’s Solamante will come in 24-count boxes.

According to Pegg, the boxes of Solamente are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers on Nov. 1.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
