In 2019, the then-new All Saints Cigars quietly released a limited edition called Solamente, a 5 x 58 toro that used an Ecuadorian habano wrapper covering a binder grown in Nicaragua and a combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler.

Today, the company is beginning to ship the 2023 version of Solamente, which is offered in the same size and blend.

However, that is where the similarities end. The 2023 version features an MSRP of $20 per cigar—up from $11.95 for the original release—and will come in boxes of 23 cigars. The company plans to release Solamente as a limited edition each year, with the box counts of each release corresponding with the year, which is why this year’s release is in 23-count boxes and next year’s Solamante will come in 24-count boxes.

The limited edition consists of 500 boxes of 23 cigars and is being released in honor of All Saints’ Day, an annual Christian holiday held on Nov. 1 that honors all the saints of the church.

“We strive for superior craftsmanship, always pushing the boundaries of tradition and innovation,” said Micky Pegg, co-founder of All Saints, in a press release. “The Solamente isn’t just a product, it’s the culmination of our passion for the craft. Celebrate All Saints Day with Solamente, and let the festivities begin.”

Like the rest of All Saints’ portfolio, this cigar is made at Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
