AGANORSA Leaf Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada Coming Next Year

More than 25 years ago, Eduardo Antonio Fernández Pujals arrived in Nicaragua with plans of getting into the agriculture business. More than 25 years later, Fernández is a prominent player in the country’s tobacco and pork sectors.

His journey in the tobacco sector started a year later with the founding of Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. (AGANORSA), though it got supercharged four years later when he bought Tropical Tobacco from Pedro Martín. Today, Fernández is one of the largest growers in Nicaragua, has a prominent factory in Estelí, and a cigar brand that is sold worldwide. In celebration of 25 years in the business, AGANORSA Leaf—the cigar brand—will be releasing a limited edition cigar, albeit a couple years after the quarter-century mark.

The AGANORSA Leaf Aniversario 25 Edición Limitada is a 6 1/4 x 52 toro extra that is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco. Production is limited to 1,000 boxes of 10 cigars, though each store will only be able to purchase up to five boxes.

Pricing is set at $29.99 per cigar. It is expected to ship to stores in early 2025.

“My vision was to bring the essence of traditional Cuban tobacco to Nicaragua by employing Cuban agricultural and fermentation methods, ultimately creating Aganorsa’s signature flavor profile,” said Fernández in a press release. “You have to control your destiny, and the tobacco must be managed from seed to ash to ensure consistency and quality. This cigar celebrating our 25 year journey underscores a commitment to tradition and craftsmanship, showcasing Aganorsa’s dedication to authenticity in the tobacco industry.”
