ADV & McKay’s The Navigator Ponce de Leon has begun arriving at retail in recent days, giving fans of the line a new gordo vitola in which to experience the blend.
The Navigator Ponce de Leon is a 6 x 60 gordo that comes with an MSRP of $13 per cigar and is offered in 20-count boxes. The line’s blend uses a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, an Indonesian Sumatra binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic. Fans of the ADVentura The Navigator line will recognize that this cigar has previously been available in non-U.S. markets under the name Columbus.
The Ponce de Leon becomes the fourth size available in the U.S. market, joining the Cabral (6 x 54), Pinzón (5 x 50) and Francis D. (6 x 44).
As for ADV & McKay’s other new release from the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, the La Llorona Corona, it isn’t expected to be released before late September, Knobel said.
“As always, we follow our credo to exemplify the complexity, consistency, and unique flavors desired by the new generation of cigar smokers, while still paying homage to the legacy of Old World Tobacco,” Marcel Knobel told halfwheel when announcing the new cigars.
Both cigars are produced by Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic.
