ADV & McKay Cigars Co. has announced that it has a new distributor, as it is moving from Sutliff Tobacco Co. to City of Palms Cigar Distribution Services, with the change going into effect on Monday, Dec. 18.

“We have many new beginnings this year, and wanted a distribution partner that was both experienced and nimble,” said Marcel Knobel, co-founder of ADV & McKay Cigars Co. S.R.L., via a press release. “We are fortunate to have a pre-built relationship with the Dinkins and are looking forward to carving out a partnership dedicated to boutique premium cigars.”

City of Palms Distribution Services is headed by Kevin and Anne Dinkins, and provides comprehensive logistical support to premium boutique hand-rolled cigar companies seeking distribution support in the U.S. The company says it provides back-office support, including importing, bonded warehousing, inventory control, invoicing, shipping, payment processing, commission processing, monthly reporting and other services to brand owners.

“Kevin and Anne are two of the hardest working people we know, that put customers first, and we are looking forward to making it easier and faster for ADV to get to our customers,” said Henderson Ventura, co-founder of ADV & McKay Cigars Co. S.R.L., via a press release.

“Having ADVentura Cigars join us is a privilege and definitely quite the honor,” said Kevin Dinkins, president and ceo of City of Palms Cigar Distribution, via a press release. “We are excited to provide the logistical support that allows the amazing ADVentura team to continue to grow their brand and expand their presence with fantastic premium cigar retailers around the US and we are deeply humbled and appreciative of the confidence and friendship we have built with ADVentura over the years. We are ready to put our experience and service to use and get ADVentura’s amazing cigars headed to their customers immediately.”

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
