While the Oscar Valladares Ciseron Edition makes its piece of included artwork very obvious, the Vega Magna takes a more reserved approach. Inside each box is a special illustration made by Dominican artist Pragmy Marichal is built into the bottom of the box itself.
The sketch was designed to be hung on a wall and is easily removed, sliding out with a simple tug.
Of course, the concept isn’t new. And just because a box comes with removable art doesn’t mean it will land on our packaging awards list. The rest of the Vega Magna, while also not entirely new, represents a refined approach to branding we first saw with the popular Casa Magna brand. — Brooks Whittington.
