Old Virginia Tobacco Co. is celebrating its 45th anniversary and like it has done in past years, Gary Pesh’s retail chain has a variety of exclusive cigars for the occasion.

The latest is the E.P. Carrillo OVTC 45th Anniversary, a 6 x 52 toro that is packaged in boxes similar to the company’s new Core Plus. As for the blend it uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder and Nicaraguan fillers.

A total of 200 boxes of 10 were produced for the occasion priced at $9.95 per cigar.

This is the third manufacturer to release a cigar for OVTC’s anniversary. It previously had two special Davidoffs, a Robusto (5 x 52) and Toro (6 x 52). The Davidoff OVTC 45th Anniversary uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Honduran criollo binder and fillers from the Domincian Republic and Honduras.

There was also the La Flor Dominicana OVTC 45th Anniversary, which features a Cameroon wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. It is a 6 x 54 parejo, priced at $8.99 per cigar.

Both of those cigars came out in October, though the E.P. Carrillo debuted this past weekend at an event attended by Erenesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.

Old Virginia Tobacco Co. operates seven stores throughout the state of Virginia.
