Yesterday Perdomo announced via social media that its 20th Anniversary Line would soon be expanding with a pyramid vitola being added to both the Sun Grown and Maduro wrapped versions.
The new vitola will come in 24-count boxes with a MSRP of $10 per cigar and $240 per box when it begins arriving on store shelves on Monday, June 9. The cigar measures 6 1/2 inches in length with a tapered ring gauge, 60 at the foot and 50 at the head. There had been some chatter this year that a new figurado vitola would be added to the line prior to the IPCPR Convention and Trade Show.
The addition of the pyramid brings Perdomo’s 20th Anniversary line to seven sizes, as it joins a 5 x 56 robusto, 6 x 56 epicure, 6 x 60 gordo, 6 1/2 x 54 torpedo, 6 1/2 x 48 corona grande and 7 x 56 churchill. It is the second time a vitola has been added to the line since being released in 2012. The line was also first announced via social media.
This is the second announcement of a new release from Perdomo this week, as earlier this week they announced a new series called the Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage.
Update (July 2, 2014) — Added vitola size to the story.
