Jesus Fuego confirmed that he is adding a 5 1/2 x 60 vitola to his Origen and Origen Maduro lines, with both on display at the upcoming IPCPR Convention and Trade Show.

Fuego will also be showing off his fairly new Connoisseur line, which was announced in mid-March and has already begun arriving at select retailers. The line comes in four sizes – 6 x 50, 5 x 60, 5 1/2 x 54 and the 5 x 44 Originals vitola.

He will also be unveiling a new line of ashtrays, as seen here:

J Fuego Ash Tray July 2013

Jesus Fuego has been in the news quite a bit in the first half of 2013, with announcements of updated packaging and a formal name change of the company from Tabacos S.A. to J. Fuego Cigar Company. He has also made several edits to his catalog, including dropping the 777 Maduro and J. Fuego Gran Reserva and dropping the Corona and Belicoso vitolas across all of his lines.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
