In the age of gigantic ring gauges, it was only time before someone wondered—what happens if you put a lancero in the middle of a 7 x 70.

While it’s not quite 7 x 70, Viva Republica is going to let you find out.

Jason Holly has finally announced Jailbreak, a 6 x 58 cigar that begins life as a petit lancero, that measures roughly 6 x 41. That cigar uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, it is rolled and aged like a normal cigar. It is then taken out of aging and placed in the center of a larger 6 x 58 cigar, which is finished with a Dominican corojo wrapper. In the end, it’s 10 different filler leaves.

“Jailbreak is a new concept in where a Lancero is buried inside of a 6’X 58 cigar trying to escape,” said Holly in a press release. “I decided to create this unique cigar in dedication to my stepfather who recently retired as a Superintendent of the Dallas State Correctional Institution.”

The cigar is limited to 300 boxes of 20 with suggested pricing set at $12.50 per cigar. It is expected to begin shipping later this week.

Viva Republica is rolled at La Aurora’s E. León Jimenes Tabacalera and distributed in the U.S. by Miami Cigar & Co.
