On Thursday, Paul Copeland will formally be appointed as the new president of the Cigar Association of Tennessee.

Paul Copeland

The state association was founded in 2011 as political action committee (PAC) to fight increases in tobacco taxes, smoking bans and other legislative issues in Tennessee. Copland is the general manager of Franklin Cigar in Franklin, Tenn. According to a press release, he will take over for Phil Windham, the former owner of Burns Tobacconist, who will step down at the association’s annual meeting, which takes place Thursday.
